Hi, I’m Brian! I am an earth scientist specializing in quantitative geomorphology, geographical information systems (GIS), and environmental data analysis. Most recently, I graduated with my Ph.D. in Earth Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), where I used geochronological and remotely sensed datasets to investigate the interactions between tectonics, climate, and erosion in the northwest Himalayas over the past several million years. I also hold a Master’s degree (M.S. Geological Sciences) from the University of Oregon, and a Bachelor’s degree (B.S. Geology) from Caltech.

I’m currently living in the Chicago, IL area and am looking for opportunities outside of academia, primarily in the earth and environmental sciences, climate sciences, and natural hazards mitigation. That said, I am open to any role, regardless of industry, that allows me to use my scientific insight, research background, and quantitative skillset using statistical programming languages and GIS to have a positive impact on our society. I take pride in my ability to maintain successful relationships with internal and external clients, receive and implement constructive feedback, and take on challenges that help me learn and grow as a professional.

Outside of my work, I enjoy running, going to baseball games, and spending time with my pets.
